The Nike Shox tech combines tough, flexible columns with moderator plates for outstanding cushioning that bounces back after compression. The design is a near-exact replica of the 2003 Nike Shox TL. Pre-shaped overlays in the midfoot provide support and a snug fit. A TPU heel plate adds stable side support. Laser perforations all over improve ventilation. The TPU plate between the midsole and the Nike Shox cushioning maximizes lateral stability and support. The full-length Phylon midsole offers lightweight cushioning. The non-marking full rubber outsole with a modern waffle pattern delivers great traction and durability. The Nike Shox element is a midsole cushioning system that pairs elastic, flexible columns with cushioning plates for excellent shock absorption. The sturdy foam columns keep their shape throughout the shoe’s life.
